In combination with assessing key areas, the latest version of Readiness 360 allows a congregation to create two open-ended questions. When used properly, the questions can provide critical information for ministry improvement. Here are some examples of questions for a variety of situations:
For a struggling church that is seeking God’s preferred future:
- What is <church name> known for in <name of community>?
- What do you believe God wants the members of <church name> to do differently?
For a busy church that is seeking to focus ministry more effectively:
- In order to better become effective at forming disciples who form disciples, what do we need to stop doing?
- In order to better become effective at forming disciples who form disciples, what do we need to start or keep doing?
For a congregation considering starting a new worship service or new faith community of some sort:
- What excites you about the possibility of multiplying our impact through starting a new place or ministry for new people?
- What concerns you about the possibility of multiplying our impact through starting a new place or ministry for new people?
The answers to these questions are essential for planning teams and the congregation as a whole to understand before planning for any robust change.
